Our client manufactures products for infrastructure and is halfway through an expansion plan which will see it tripling its current eight figure turnover. Reporting to the group CFO, the successful person will play an essential role in leading the accounting function for this business and collaborating with the wider business to ensure sound business decisions are made to support the growth strategy.
About the role…
As the business completes its second growth phase (out of five), there are still some hands’ on accounting tasks and a typical day, week and month will see you responsible for the following:
- Extensive involvement in analysing margins
- Pricing modules, costings and bill of materials
- All end of month financial accounts and reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cashflow for both capital projects and monthly stock planning
- Analysing and interpreting day to day accounts
- Overseeing all debtor and creditor management – which can include processing invoices and assisting in some of the day to day accounting administration until the appointment of further staff
About you…
To be successful in this role, you are an experienced Accountant (ideally CA Qualified unless there is a good reason) looking for a new challenge and a role you can make your own. We are looking for someone who can relate to the manufacturing process, analyse, dig into the detail, problem solve and take a proactive approach. The business is embarking on a complex growth phase with multiple sites so our ideal person has had exposure working in a similar business model where cashflow for raw material planning is fundamental to success. Understanding of CCA complexities would be a bonus.
