LEP Engineering Plastics is a manufacturer, importer and distributor of industrial plastics. We supply a vast range of high performance materials and products to every sector of industry in New Zealand and are also internationally recognised throughout Australasia and Asia.
About the role…
An awesome opportunity is available for someone to take the helm and be integral in shaping the future growth of the company. This is a hands’ on role where you will have full operational responsibility of the business operations and autonomy to run the branch as if it were your own business
Key responsibilities include:
- People leadership (team of 30 in total)
- Working closely with the team of technical experts on production matters
- Project management oversight of new products and production capabilities
- Completing monthly reports against budgets and KPIs
- Continuous improvement strategies across all areas of the business
- Maintaining positive and effective relationships with external stakeholders.
- Managing the H&S strategy
About you …
Our ideal candidate will have a high level of business acumen, technical ability and ideally come from the manufacturing industry (plastics would be a bonus). With this should come a sound understanding of lean manufacturing and methodologies which will be key to driving efficiencies and overall performance. Being commercially savvy, you will possess the skills to inspire and drive a variety of individuals at all levels and you enjoy bringing people together and creating strong team spirit.
