Solo Plastics is a leading provider of plastic piping solutions that are sustainably designed, built and installed for a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects across New Zealand.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, and working closely with the Sales and Production teams, this role focuses on providing of technical designs and documentation for new orders and of existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality engineering drafting and design services
- Draft high-quality design drawings, 3D rendering, 2D drawings using AutoCad
- Liaise with all parties to meet client needs, ensuring compliance with the relevant standards
- Check that specifications received can be built within design regulations
- Direct liaison between the Sales and Production teams
- Serve as a point of contact for all technical design related inquiries
- Implement best practice design principles and standards, and identify and implement innovative design solutions
- Create new bill of materials for new products
About you….
- Ideally you will have a qualification in either civil or mechanical engineering
- Civil engineering design, drafting and modelling experience is advantageous
- Technical competence in design requirements and process implementation
- High degree of competency in AutoCad and Microsoft
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a busy environment and achieve a high level of accuracy
- Able to multitask and think outside the box
- Have a natural aptitude for learning new things
- Hold yourself to high standard of quality
