Backyard Games is a homegrown business in Mount Maunganui whose mission is to bring family and community together, people of all ages and stages and connect through playing old fashioned backyard games.    We are one of the largest online outdoor games companies in NZ and are looking for a new staff member to take things to the next level.

About the role…

As the NZ Business Manager, you will work closely with the Directors to promote and generate growth of Backyard Games.  This is a seriously awesome role that will have you involved in and responsible for:

  • Hunting out new business opportunities, product ideas and developing relationships with schools, clubs, corporates and organizations that support our mission to “get outside and play’
  • Keeping up with the latest trends and crazes globally that fit with our brand and values
  • Ordering and facilitating the delivery of stock from overseas
  • Oversee the warehouse and inventory process
  • Loads of customer interaction throughout the sales process and ensuring that all customers receive efficient and top quality service
  • Travel to and attend offsite events and promotions such as sporting events, markets and shows (this will require the odd weekend work)
  • Liaise with marketing contacts around content and communication for social media
  • Analysing and forecasting – what’s working and what’s not!

  • You love to solve problems and nut things out in a practical and professional manner
  • We are totally open to your background, but ideally you will have Business/Sales management experience and can demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and flexibility
